It’s the 1st July 2019! Today is the first day of the second half of the last year of the second decade of the second millennium. That’s auspicious!
I’m writing because it’s so auspicious that many of us may want to revisit our New Year’s resolutions or reset some fresh intentions. It almost feels like NEW YEAR.
Because I am a Health Coach, I’m always looking at ways in which I can help my clients. Whether it be through our great Remedial or stress-busting massages or through a tailored plan of health coaching to help remove barriers to health, energy and vitality.
I’m not sure how your year has panned out so far, but there is never a time like the present, and there will never be another date in history like today, to reorder some priorities.

I’m a Health Coach
Massage is a great ritual to help keep on top of a tightening body that seems to have the desire to make you less mobile. Massage is perfect for improving circulation. removing toxins, reducing inflammation and improving mobility. However, Massage is only part of the answer;
As I said, because I am a Health Coach, I know that massage on it’s own is not the cure-all.
Recently one of my clients came to see me because they had tried everything else to get rid of a niggling pain in their ankle and achilles. For 6 months this had been plaguing them and for 6 months doctors and physios were unable to help.
I did some remedial massage and some health coaching. I gave some advice around nutrition and prescribed some nutraceuticals, (these include supplements and functional foods for healing).
After 2 weeks the pain was disappearing and by week 4 had completely gone!
Remember this client had struggled for 6 months. You see the problem he was experiencing was inflammation. Inflammation occurs not just after injury, but also as a result of ingesting foods and substances that our body doesn’t like, this causes inflammation. And long term inflammation reduces and inhibits healing.

Health Coaching
Health Coaching hones in on lifestyle factors that can be severely impacting your life in detrimental ways. I like to take my clients on a journey that helps them lead healthier and happier lives. My job is to point the client in the right direction and provide the encouragement and accountability they need to achieve their results. Often people know what they need to be doing but they just need some support, thats my job!

As time keeps ticking, our bodies age and continue to breakdown. The speed in which they break down is highly dependant on lifestyle choices. We can significantly improve our body’s function, vitality and ability to heal along with improving our longevity and quality of ageing, through lifestyle choices. It’s never easy on our own to keep on top of all the lifestyle factors that can either work for us or against us. That’s why health coaching is so important. Make time your friend by making choices today that will make for a healthier, happier tomorrow!
